In August of 2023, Kurstin graduated the Veterinary assistance program at Douglas college. She ended up doing her practicum here and was hired on right after! Ever since she was young she knew she wanted a career with animals, so becoming a veterinary assistant was the perfect fit. Kustin’s favourite part of the job is being able to watch our patients walk out of the hospital healthy and happy.
At home, she has a formosan mountain dog named Daisy who she rescued from Taiwan back in 2015, as well as a senior tortoiseshell kitty named Marley. Outside of work, her hobbies include being outdoors, painting, thrifting, and going out with friends.
