Mallory (Practice Manager) was born and raised in the Lower Mainland and is thrilled to be back home in beautiful British Columbia after spending the last three years in Winnipeg, where she worked as a Veterinary Practice Manager. She is so excited to be joining the team in Langley and continuing a career that has always centred around animals and the people who care for them.
Her love of animals started early. Growing up working on a farm, Mallory was never afraid to get her hands dirty! She later discovered a passion for dog training and became a certified dog trainer, with a strong focus on animal welfare and understanding behaviour. That passion led her to the BC SPCA, where she spent more than 10 years gaining invaluable experience working with animals and the community.
Mallory eventually opened her own dog-training business while also working part-time in a veterinary hospital. Before long, her path led her into veterinary management, where she found a love for supporting both people and pets. Her varied background in animal welfare, behaviour, training, veterinary medicine, and leadership has shaped the way she approaches her role as a Practice Manager.
Mallory is especially passionate about Fear Free practices and low-stress handling. She believes that an animal's emotional well-being is an important part of their overall health and that we should always consider what our patients are feeling during their visit. She is incredibly proud to be part of a Fear Free environment where patient comfort, compassion, and emotional well-being are a priority.
Outside of work, you can usually find Mallory spending time with her Golden Retriever, Pal, exploring beautiful BC, and continuing to learn everything she can about animal behaviour. 🐾
